Transportation Services India

In this arena of high technology India Transportation Services have options to ship the materials. There are a few alternatives to ship the material as well as people.

The Three Modes of Transportation are:
• Surface Transportation (Road and Rail)
• Air Transportation
• Water Transportation

Before going into the process of selection of means of transport a few important tasks a few tasks are required to be done :

Measurement  weight, volume and type of the material to be transported. Time availability, merits and demerits of all the moving options should be considered.

In Delhi, (DTC) DelhiTransport Corporation is the best means of  transportation. DTC buses move  arround Delhi frequently to ease the commuting of passengers. DTC is the world's largest means transport propelled by CNG. The service is active in Delhi  since 1984. Earlier the buses were running on the roads by DSL, but now it has converted into CNG in order to control the pollution level. Apart from DTC, private bus service known as Blue Line Bus Service is also active in Delhi.

DTC bus service is not limited upto Delhi only but it is well connected with all the states of the country. Buses running to the other states of the country run under the name and style of Inter State Bus Service which are available from Inter state buses terminals in Delhi. There are three bus terminals in Delhi viz. ISBT, and Anand Vihar bus terminal and Sarai Kale Khan bus terminal, from where you can board for different states of the country i.e. Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttranchal, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir etc. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is another an additional option of transportation in Delhi. Travelling in Metro Rail has become more popular in Delhi because of its efficiency. It is quite safe, comfortable and time consuming. Though Metro Rail service is not available in all the areas of Delhi, but it is still under expansion.

The infrastructure of transport in Delhi is taking the city is towards the best smooth and rapid transport city of the country. This is very much evident from the inception of Metro Rail in Delhi as well as the high capacity buses that are seen running on the roads of Delhi. Delhi government has plans to have a separate zone for these high capacity buses. Mono Rail is another addition to the transport system of Delhi that is under pipeline and would be operational in coming years. Radio cabs are now operational within Delhi that can be hired from any location in Delhi. These cabs are air-conditioned cabs that ensure comfortable traveling within the city. You have the option to pay the fare in cash or through credit card.

In order to keep Delhi pollution free, It is the effort of Delhi government to convert DSL and Petrol driver vehicles into CNG. In this operation a number of Taxies, Three wheelers, buses, cars have been converted from DSL to CNB or from Petrol to CNG.
